SolBridge International School of Business proudly hosted the International Business Plan Competition (IBPC) 2025, welcoming nine international teams from around the world to South Korea for a week of academic challenge, cultural exchange, and global collaboration.

The annual International Business Plan Competition provides students with a unique opportunity to apply their business knowledge to real-world challenges. This year’s competition was organized in collaboration with SolBridge’s industry partner, Lake Materials, offering participants direct exposure to corporate decision-making and strategic problem-solving. The case study was presented by Mr. SungSoo Park, Executive Director (CFO) of Lake Materials, setting the foundation for an intensive and highly engaging competition.

Throughout the program, participating teams explored the SolBridge campus, visited Lake Materials, and experienced the city of Daejeon, gaining valuable insights into South Korea’s business environment and culture. These activities complemented the academic rigor of the competition, encouraging cross-cultural understanding and international teamwork.

The central challenge of IBPC 2025 asked participants to address a timely and critical business question:
How could ESG frameworks be integrated into Lake Materials’ core values of stability and growth?
