This is a list of some of the things you will do during Orientation:

Campus tour: This involves a tour of the gym/sports center and how to register for activities plus a visit to the dormitories to find out how to use the laundry and rules for peaceful dormitory living.

Daejeon City tour: See a little of the city you will be staying in for the next months. You may like to visit some places again with friends.

Welcome party: To welcome you to campus life and to help you make new friends.

Survival Korean Language—learning how to read and write Korean: You will learn to read and write basic Korean, and be equipped with a few simple Korean words that you will use almost daily.

Study skills: For many, this may be the first time at University or the first time away from Home. If your aim is to get good grades, you may want to sit through this session to learn how to stay focused, when there is so much to do and see.

Cultural adjustment workshop: Ours is a multi-cultural campus. Students currently come from 20 different countries, and getting along with others will be key to enjoying the semester here. After all, everyone comes from different backgrounds and has different expectations of what the SolBridge experience will be.

Library Tour: Besides the library in the SolBridge building, there are other libraries on different campuses. This tour will take you to visit some of the others, and show you what is available there.

Information Technology Education Centre Tour: Woosong University also has a Prometric Testing facility at Woosong IT building.

Immigration-Alien Card Registration plus multi-entry permit applications: All non-Korean nationals who plan to stay for a long period in Korea must be registered with the immigration authorities. The Student Services Team will help you complete this process. You may also be interested in obtaining a multiple entry visa at the same time, if you plan to leave and re-enter Korea over the year.

Setting up bank accounts: Our Team will also assist you in opening a bank account, so that you can have funds transferred for living expenses while in Korea.
