D., System Thinking and System Dynamics Modeling , M.I.T., USA, 1998 · M.S., Nuclear Engineering, University of Wisconsin at Madison, USA, 1987 · B.S., Nuclear Engineering, Seoul National University, Korea, 1987 Professor Ahn attained a BS and MS degree in Nuclear Engineering at Seoul National University and University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has a Ph. D. degree from MIT in the field of system dynamics modeling, which is a field of management science. His research centers on improving managerial decisions in complex systems using the systems dynamics approach. It ranges from the computer simulation of corporate management strategy at the corporate level to the implementation of sustainable studies assessing public understanding of global climate change at the national level. During the last decade, he was involved in developing the agent based model for a competitive electricity market and business models for a renewable energy in Korean electricity market using system dynamics. He had taught business dynamics at the Business School of Chung-Nam National University for more than 10 years. He also carried out many research projects related to technology innovation and the assessment of technology value at KEPCO. In Solbridge, he would like to operate a sustainable business laboratory in collaboration with government, companies, and other foreign universities and research institutes to share the experience and outcomes together. Sustainability is not just about ecological issues but economic issues, social issues, political issues, and personal issues as well. This complexity requires the systems approach to understand the sustainability and deal with it at the business level.
