Chris Callen   Chris is married to Helen and has three children. Sam and Rosie live in Auckland with their partners and have thriving careers. Rebecca still has one year to go at the Singapore American School after which she intends to study journalism. The whole family enjoys travel and boating and as a Kiwi, Chris is a keen rugby fan.

The express industry has featured largely in much of Chris' working life. From 1977 to 1992 his career developed from owner-driver courier to general manager within Freightways Group in New Zealand. Then, after a couple of years running an IT company, he joined New Zealand Post in 1995 as Group Manager Distribution, where he and his team took the CourierPost brand to number one in the domestic express market. Under his initial leadership NZP acquired a stable of businesses which now form Express Couriers Ltd, the DHL/NZP joint venture in New Zealand. In 2000 Chris acquired and managed Australian domestic express company Couriers Please for NZP.

Since joining DHL Express in late 2002 Chris spent three and a half years in Mumbai as Country Manager India. During that time business performance improved significantly on all measures. In mid 2006 Chris was asked to take on a new regional Asia Pacific development role as VP Domestic Express, based in Singapore. Since then he has provided support to a number of domestic express initiatives in the region, most notably the bringing together of six businesses in Australia to form Express Couriers Australia Pty Ltd, another JV with NZ Post.

Chris has been in general management for over 25 years. He has been a Board member for many companies, two schools, two water polo clubs and a rugby club. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and during his time with New Zealand Post was a strategic consultant to a number of international postal businesses.

Now Chris is very much enjoying his new role as Country Manager for DHL Korea Ltd, which he joined on August 1 2008. He sees the Korean and Asian express markets as complex and challenging but very rewarding for teams who are people and service focused, prepared to follow proven business fundamentals and at the same time willing to innovate and test established thinking.

Christopher Kindersley Wood

Christopher Wood is a truly international executive. Born in New York of Canadian parents, he holds Canadian, American and Irish citizenship. As the son of a Canadian diplomat, Mr. Wood lived in many countries in Europe and the Middle East. Encouraged to attend local schools, he was raised with the philosophy of integrating with different cultures.

Christopher’s professional career has followed the same international path as in his scholastic days. He attended undergraduate programs at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and graduated summa cum laude (4th in his class) with a law degree in 1984. Mr. Wood was called to the Ontario Bar in 1986, and briefly practiced in Ottawa (Canada) before moving to France to complete a Masters of Business Administration at I.N.S.E.A.D. in Fontainebleau.

Christopher has spent over 20 years in the field of prestige cosmetics. His professional experience encompasses an impressive record of accomplishment in Europe, North America and, most recently, in Asia. He spent 6 years with the Parfums et Beaute Division of L’Oreal in France, Norway and Italy. Christopher joined the Estee Lauder Companies in 1993, and over the past 14 years has held positions of increasing responsibility: Executive Director, Field Marketing Europe (Estee Lauder); Brand Manager, Clinique (Germany); Regional Vice President of Clinique in Canada; General Manager of ELCA Korea (the Korean affiliate of the Estee Lauder Companies); President of the Estee Lauder Group of Companies K.K. (Japan). Christopher is currently back in Korea as Representative Director and General Manager of ELCA Korea Ltd. (the #4 ranking affiliate in the ELC international division). He has, during this time, built and has effectively run both simple and complex organizations. He has successfully restructured teams that were not performing to potential. The result in each case was: record sales, high profits and excellent team morale.

Christopher is definitely a creative and innovative leader with excellent motivational and negotiation skills a sales-minded executive with an eye to maximizing profits while boosting an organization’s overall productivity. He believes that a true leader can only succeed with a good balance of vision, strategy and effective execution.

Christopher is conversant in many languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and Norwegian) besides his mother tongue. He stresses that his love for languages is an integral part of adapting to new cultures and environments. His travels have permitted him to incorporate the best characteristics of the different cultures to which he has been exposed. He feels that this international exposure has enabled him to generate new perspectives, and thrives on his ability to be open and ready for change.

Christopher also has a passion for sharing his experiences through seminars and presentations. Dr. Lilly D'Angelo   Dr. Lilly D'Angelo joined the Campbell Soup Company in Shanghai in January 2008 as the R&D Director - Greater China. In her new role, Lilly leads the Campbell's R&D Greater China in product and package R&D and innovation to meet the business needs and deliver breakthrough innovation to reduce manufacturing cost and to increase the company's competitiveness in the marketplace on a global scale.

Lilly joined Campbell's from The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, GA after 18 years of successful career in R&D and innovation. At Coke, she held R&D positions of increasing responsibility in leading and supporting key initiatives in carbonated and non-carbonated beverage product development, functional and flavor ingredient R&D. In her most recent role as a Sr. Innovation Leader, she led a cross functional team to provide technical and innovation support in launching the award winning Minute Maid Enhanced Juice with various health & wellness functionalities and benefits. She and her team also established functional ingredient R&D platform at Coke. During her tenure at Coke, she developed training programs in beverage science & technology and trained more than 200 associates worldwide. Lilly's other career accomplishments include beverage technology inventions resulting in 11 patents and authorship of more than 10 scientific publications. She has also been invited to lecturer at universities on international business and food science technology in the US, Ireland, UK, Korea and China.

In Atlanta, Lilly served on the boards of various nonprofit organizations including the Fulbright Association Georgia Chapter, Emory University Board of Governors, American Chemical Society Georgia Section and Editorial Board of Food Hydrocolloids. In December 2007, she was honored with an International Women of Influence Award in Beijing by the Global Executive Women organization.

Thomas A. O'Reilly Tom O'Reilly, Managing Director, Greater China, joined Rockwell Automation China in January of 2007, with Chinese name of   欧瑞韬.

Before joining China team, Tom O'Reilly was the business manager for Rockwell Automation's Plant Services business which is a component of the company's portfolio of engineering and maintenance support services. O'Reilly was responsible for the company's global MRO asset management services and maintenance solutions.

Previously, he was Managing Director, Rockwell Samsung Automation based in Seoul, Korea responsible for all of their operations including sales, marketing, system engineering, manufacturing, and technical support and service in the Korean market. He led the efforts in acquiring the automation business of Samsung Electronics in April 2002 and combining it with Rockwell Automation's existing operations to create Rockwell Samsung Automation. Rockwell Samsung Automation is now one of the leaders in the automation market in Korea. Prior to Korea, he was Sales Manager for Rockwell Automation Japan based in Tokyo.

O'Reilly began his career with Allen-Bradley, now part of Rockwell Automation, in 1985 as a sales trainee, and has held increasingly responsible sales and sales management positions in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and New York. PAUL KIM

Paul is the Founder and Managing Director of Benchmark Partners. The firm provides consulting services in Korean market entry, overseas market entry, capital raising, M&A and investment advisory, FDI advisory as well as executive search.

Paul has been engaged by Fortune 500 companies in Korea to consult on high-level strategy, management, investment and human resources issues for their Korean operations. Working predominantly with CEOs and board members, Paul has a strong track record in senior advisory roles in the above functions in the Consumer, Hi-Tech, Investment Banking, Private Equity and Professional Services sectors.

On top of his advisory work, Paul has also been recognized for his work in Management Audit services in cross-border M&As. This has typically involved pre and post-merger integration consulting in management assessment, human resources alignment, organizational design & analysis and succession planning. He has also been instrumental in senior level advisory roles to CEOs with issues in corporate strategy, vision, leadership, organizational culture and integration.

Beginning his career in Sydney Australia, Paul founded a venture consulting firm that specialized in identifying, incubating and transferring Australian technology to Asia (1990). After experiencing growth and success, Paul exited from the company to join the Australian operation of Samsung Corporation, where he led teams in business strategy, technology transfer and investment projects (1994).

Moving to Korea (1997), Paul continued his consulting work with a regional executive search firm, TAO Korea. The firm was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles and he was appointed as a Principal and member of the Global Technology Practice. In this role, he was engaged by blue chip organizations on senior level search assignments in the Technology, IT, Banking and Consumer sectors as well as providing on-going Management Assessments.

Paul was scouted to the position of Managing Partner and Country Manager of an American venture capital firm (ProNix Ventures) with responsibilities to head their Korean investment & consulting operations. His extensive network and knowledge in venture capital, technology and operations were fully leveraged in this role.

In 2002, he re-entered the executive search industry and was appointed to the position of Korean Country Manager of the world's largest executive search firm, MRI Worldwide, to launch their Korean operations. Over 5 years, the firm was the fastest growing MRI franchise in the region for several years running and was positioned as a top class HR consulting firm in Korea. He provided services in recruitment, talent management, investments, market entry and M&A.

Currently, at Benchmark Partners, Paul is devoting his time across a wide scope of consulting roles including: advising progressive Korean technology companies expand their operations overseas as well as helping overseas companies enter the Korean market. He is also closely involved in advising the City of Daejeon in FDI and various development and investment projects.

Paul also lectures programs in human resources, cross cultural business practices and career strategies to international MBA students at KAIST Business School.

Peter Lymm

Peter currently is the Vice President/CAO for Samsung SDS. In this role, he is responsible for driving strategies to broaden SDS' global business and internal capabilities specifically in the financial sector. He has been with SDS for 1 year.

Peter rejoined Aetna in 1999 and has held a variety of leadership roles that have included serving as Vice President of Product and Business Development for the Behavioral Health Business Unit where he helped profitably grow this business line prior to coming to Korea. In this role, he was responsible for inorganic growth strategies (M&A), customer account management, development of pricing/underwriting guidelines, and product development. Other positions include Head of Product Enhancements in Business Solutions Delivery where he managed a matrixed IT team of 1,000 people to deliver systems enhancements and system maintenance services. He led a major organization consolidation to centralize production support activities and in doing so attained critical business goals including: driving cost efficiency in operations, forming a Change Control Board governance structure to better manage the $80M production support budgets, and achieved CMM Level 2. Peter also held the position of Head of National Operations Support overseeing major aspects of Aetna's claim and customer service operations.

Peter also represented Aetna at industry forums while serving as the Chairman for the Alliance for Managed Care trade organization. He was appointed to the National Uniform Billing and Claim Committees under the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Prior to joining Aetna Peter was the Deputy CIO for Bridgeport Hospital - Yale New Haven Health. At YNHH, he contributed towards the achievement of JCAHO Accreditation with Commendation for Bridgeport Hospital. He also served as the Chief Information Officer for a start-up HMO, and served as the President of ARJ Company-a small pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

Peter has a Masters in Business Administration from University of New Haven School of Business, a bachelor degree double majoring in Psychology and Healthcare Management from the University of Rochester, and a Certificate in Project Management from Boston University.

Outside of Aetna, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Korean Language and Cultural Education Institute, the National Organization for the Prevention of Child Abuse and on the Board of Directors for the YMCA.

Bharat Wakhlu

Before taking charge of his new role as the Resident Director for Public Affairs for the Tata Group, Bharat served as the President of Tata Incorporated, managing the Group's presence in the Americas, based out of New York City.

Mr. Wakhlu has worked for over twenty three years with companies in the Tata fold, creating monetizable value for stakeholders. Before moving to New York in 2002, he was with Tata Steel, where he headed the company's vast Supply Chain. He has extensive experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Total Quality and Performance Improvement, Leadership Development, Corporate and Community Relations, Information Technology and E-commerce. He is the founder of the profitable e-businesses company, Metaljunction Services, Pvt. Ltd. (www.mjunction.com). He has played an active role in emphasizing the role of Corporate organizations in working towards Sustainable Business, Poverty Alleviation, and the management of HIV/AIDS at the workplace.

Bharat has had his education in India, France and the US. He is the author of a best-selling book; "Total Quality - Excellence through Organization-wide Transformation" the 3rd edition of which was released in 2007. He also has a number of published papers and articles to his credit, covering topics in Leadership, Total Quality, Innovation, Lean Thinking, and Performance improvement, and Corporate Social responsibility.

He has been active in promoting collaborations and beneficial ties between multinationals, and the Tata Group companies, and has, most recently, worked successfully toward integrating the North American operations of Tata Steel with Corus America.

A regular speaker, he has addressed leaders at forums such as the U.N., ICARE (Chile), the Woodrow Wilson Centre (USA), Asia Society, Social Accountability International, the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Global Creative Leadership Summit, FICCI and Chambers of Commerce, among others. His speeches and writings, inspired by the pioneering emphasis at the House of Tata, have influenced practitioners to embed sustainable and wholesome practices within value-creating economic activity. In his approach, he stresses the importance of visionary leadership, creativity, good planning, and flawless execution, conducted in a spirit of shared partnership, as the means to stimulate lasting and inclusive economic growth.

Mr. Wakhlu is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, a Member of the Transnational Council of British American Business, the General Secretary of the Foundation for the Restoration of National Values, and has contributed to the U.N. Chang Bin Yim

Chang Bin Yim was born in Seoul in 1938. Twenty years later he attended Central Missouri State University to obtain a B.S. in mathematics and chemistry. He did later work in statistics at the University of Missouri and in 1995/1996 took executive courses at Harvard University.

He has been an active ambassador of good will for the Korean people to the United States, especially, Georgia. He serves the Korean Community in the United States and abroad.

In 1970, he established Numatex, Comp. a joint venture in Japan. In 1979 he founded Korea Texacoat in South Korea and Chanhua Co. in China. In 2000, he also started up Textile Rubber India in India. Currently, Mr. Yim is the Chairman of Aesops Electronic Co., Heatmax, Inc., Chanhua/Asia Changtex Trading Co., and C & S Investment Co.

He was named the first president of the Georgia-Korean Business Association in 1984, and served as president of Georgia's Korean American Chamber of Commerce in 2001. In 2005 he was named Chairman of the Korean Overseas Chamber of Commerce.

For these and his many other accomplishments, Mr. Yim was awarded the Highest Honor Mater Award by the South Korean Government.

Dr. Hae-Jung Jung

Dr Hae-Jung Jung is Founder, President and Chairman of M.K International which was initially established as the M.K Group in 1981 and then moved to Korea in 1983 as M.K International Inc. During the past 28 years M.K has been working in diversified activities such as Industrial Engineering for small and medium scale projects (in 180 companies), international trading (for approximately 120 items), manufacturing of industrial equipment and products (for 29 products), as well as Consulting Engineering services providing technical know-how, managerial skills and financial advisory works for projects such as Makro, Wal-Mart, port development, housing compounds and city development.

Since 1991 Dr. Jung has joined with United Nations and World Bank programs and activities focusing on industrialization of developing countries especially in Africa. The United Nations appointed him as Vice Chairman of Africa-Asia Business Council of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Initiatives.

Dr. Jung has also served as a Director General of Korea Africa Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Korea since 1995 and as Vice Chairman of the Africa Specialist Network (ASN) of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), Korea initiative. Dr. Jung has served as an Ambassador Itinerant of the Republic of Guinea, Honorary Consulate General of Republic of Sierra Leone, Special Economic Advisor to the President of Republic of Guinea Bissau, West Africa since 2001. In May 2009 he was appointed as Goodwill Ambassador At-Large by the President of the Republic of The Gambia.

Dr. Jung is also involved the education and training sectors having served as a Lecturer at SookMyung Women's University and HanBat National University in Korea, Concurrent Professor of Hebei Polytechnic University in China, and Senior Advisor of Human Resources Development Services (HRD) of Korea.

Dr. Jung has been a presenter, lecturer, organizer or strategic partner more than 100 times representing private sector of M.K and public sectors of Korea and Asia-Africa in international conferences, seminars, forums, symposiums and exhibitions organized by international organizations such as the United Nations (UNDP, UNIDO, UNCTAD, UNOPS, UNESCO), The World Bank Group (IFC, MIGA, IDA), OECD and WTC.
