The Corporate Advisory Council (CAC) consists of a group of senior executives who are based in China, India, Korea and USA and have in-depth experience in operations throughout Asia as well as with the major trading partners of Asian countries. Their collective experience covers a broad range of well-established large corporations as well as small entrepreneurial organizations in both the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors in a wide range of industries. Aside from their general management operating experience they each have deep functional experience in the broad spectrum of management disciplines including marketing, sales, production, research and development, logistics, human resources, finance, accounting, and administration.

The Corporate Advisory Council (CAC) helps SolBridge students to focus their careers on the rapidly growing economies in Asia and to obtain practical understanding of the unique cultural aspects that impact doing business in Asia. The objective of the CAC is to help ensure that graduates leaving SolBridge have an excellent balance of exposure to relevant theoretical management concepts and practical experience in applying management theory to real world situations in Asia today. With this balance of theory and practice, SolBridge graduates will be equally successful as employees or as entrepreneurs running their own businesses.

Members of the CAC share their in-depth knowledge and industry experience with SolBridge students by:

  • Frequently meeting as a group to review the SolBridge curriculum to ensure that it is relevant to the current and expected future needs of business leaders in Asia.
  • Group meetings with SolBridge students on a regular basis to share their industry experience and to give advice on the best way to prepare for successful careers in business.
  • Individual one-on-one mentoring to high potential SolBridge students to guide them on their specific career choice and how to prepare themselves for a successful future.
  • Providing internships which are meaningful to the interests of the students and which are relevant to their career choice.
  • Offering placement opportunities when possible for SolBridge graduates.
